CHAPTER XVI. ZONING AND PLANNINGCHAPTER XVI. ZONING AND PLANNING\ARTICLE 2. ZONING REGULATIONS/ SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS

New Zoning and Subdivision Regulations and new Zoning Maps are hereby approved, pursuant to K.S.A. 12-741 et seq., which govern the use of land within the corporate limits of the City of Deerfield and also within the extraterritorial area designated on the map as the City’s “Growth Area”.  The regulations hereby adopted are entitled “City of Deerfield Zoning and Subdivision Regulations” as prepared in book form by the Area Planning Commission under date of July 20, 2009, following a public hearing as required by state law, and the same and new Zoning Maps are hereby declared to be approved and incorporated by reference as if set out fully herein pursuant to K.S.A. 12-3001 et seq. and K.S.A. 12-3009 et seq.

Nothing in this article or in the zoning regulations and subdivision regulations hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit, proceedings or application now pending in any court or before any administrative body or any rights acquired or liabilities incurred, not any cause or causes of action or rights in action accrued or existing under any act or ordinance repealed hereby. No right, remedy or cause of action of any character shall be lost, impaired or affected by this article.

The Code of the City of Deerfield, Kansas, and all amendments and supplements thereto, and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance and the zoning regulations and subdivision regulations of the Lakin-Deerfield-Kearny County Area Planning Commission, 1982 Edition thereof, and the 1989 revision thereof, are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
